Hearth Gift is an online shop for the home: family name signs, welcome doormats, ornaments, kitchen and table pieces, and a small, quiet range of memorial keepsakes. Everything we sell is chosen around one idea, which is also our tagline: for the home you’re starting, and the people you keep close. This page explains where the name comes from, what you will find in the shop, how personalization works, the plain facts behind every order, and how to reach us.
Hearth Gift in a few lines
- We sell 28 home and keepsake gifts across 6 collections, five of which can be personalized with your own names, years, house number or dates.
- Orders are prepared in 1-3 business days, then travel 7-14 business days to the US, Canada, Australia or New Zealand. Shipping is free with no minimum, and parcels ship from the USA.
- You can return any item within 60 days, personalized pieces included, with a free return label and no restocking fee. Refunds are issued within 7 days of the return reaching us.
- Support is by email only at support@hearthgift.shop, with a reply within 24 hours on business days.

Why we named the shop after the hearth
For most of history the hearth was the middle of the house. It was where the fire was kept, where food was cooked, where people pulled their chairs in on a cold evening and where news was shared. Long after central heating arrived, the word kept its meaning: the hearth is the warm center of a home, the place everyone drifts back to.
That is the feeling we want a Hearth Gift order to carry. A new home starts as a stack of boxes, a set of keys that still feel strange in your hand and a first takeout dinner eaten on the floor because the table has not arrived. Over time it becomes the place where names are said out loud, where holidays happen and where the people you love are remembered. Our colors come from the same picture: ember orange, warm stone, charcoal and a small flame in the logo. We kept the look simple on purpose so the products, and the names you put on them, do the talking.
What you will find in the shop
The range is small enough to browse in one sitting. We would rather offer a few clear choices than hundreds of near-identical designs. Here is how the six collections are arranged.
Family Name Signs
Framed signs and plaques for an entryway, a hallway wall or the mantel. The Family Name Established Framed Sign carries your family name and the year your household began, for example “THE CARTERS · EST. 2024”. Who we have in mind when we choose a product
We picture real people standing at a front door. A friend handing over a gift on moving day. A grown child’s first apartment with one chair and a lamp. A couple who have just moved in together and are deciding whose mug goes on which shelf. Parents downsizing to somewhere smaller and wanting the new place to feel like theirs straight away. A family spending its first Christmas at a new address. Grandparents whose door is always open.
And, separately, someone who has lost a parent, a partner or a pet and would like a name kept somewhere in the house. For those orders we keep the words plain: “in memory”, “remembered”, “kept close”. If you are ordering for a celebration of life or a quiet anniversary and a date matters to you, write to us first and we will answer honestly about what is realistic.
We sell one item at a time through the cart, at the price shown on each product page. We do not run discount codes, bulk pricing or sales, so the price you see is simply the price.
How personalization works here
Five products have built-in fields on the product page. You type into those fields before adding the item to your cart; there is no separate order note to fill in and there are no add-on charges for the text.

The live preview
As you type, a live preview shows your words on the product photo. It is the easiest way to see whether a long surname fits comfortably or whether “EST.” reads the way you expected. Take a moment with it, especially on a phone screen.
We print exactly what you type
We do not send a proof or mockup before production. Whatever is in the fields when you place the order is what goes on the item, letter for letter. If you type “MAPLE AVENEU” instead of “MAPLE AVENUE” on the coaster set, that is what will be printed. Please check spelling, spaces and dates before you check out. If you spot a mistake within 24 hours of ordering, email us and we will correct it. After that the item may already be in production; contact us anyway and we will help, and the normal 60-day return route still applies.
Your own words only
Personalization is for your family names, your street, your dates and your own short phrases. We cannot print sports team logos, cartoon characters, brand names or anyone else’s trademarks or artwork, and we do not take photo uploads. Our Intellectual Property Policy explains why.

Timing for dates that matter
Add the preparation time to the transit time and you get the honest window: up to about three weeks from order to doorstep. A family ordering the First Christmas in Our New Home Ornament in late November for a December gathering should keep that in mind. Parcels to Australia or New Zealand can take the full 14 business days in transit. If a date is important, email us before ordering and we will tell you what we realistically can and cannot do. We do not offer guaranteed delivery dates.
Checking where an order is
You can see your order status in My Account or on the Order Tracking page. If you would like an update beyond that, email us with your order number and we will look into it.
Gifts sent to another address
Many of our parcels go straight to someone else’s door: a Welcome Home Glass Candy Jar and an Our First Home 11 oz Mug sent to a friend’s new place in Canada, or a pet memorial sign sent to a friend whose dog has died. Enter the recipient’s address as the shipping address at checkout and double-check unit and apartment numbers, since new addresses are easy to mistype.
What we will not do
Part of being trustworthy is being clear about the things we leave out. We do not show ratings, review counters or “only 2 left” messages. We do not use countdown timers, and we never use loss as a sales hook. We do not claim certifications or awards, and we do not invent a backstory. We do not describe how long a product will last outdoors or how it handles weather; if you are wondering whether a sign or mat suits a particular spot, email us and we will tell you what we know. The same goes for care questions: email us for care questions rather than guessing.
If something arrives damaged, misprinted or not as you expected, contact us and we will help. Photos you email us to show a problem are deleted 30 days after delivery.
